best buds.

This is my very favorite picture I have of my best friend, Emily, and me, and it was taken about a week ago. My camera has a self-timer/multiple shots setting, and we used it to take pictures of ourselves moving around. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing.
Emily and I have known each other since Kindergarten, when I peed my pants because Caroline told me there were clowns in the drains in the bathroom. I guess I was afraid of clowns. Our dads work together, so we've become pretty tight over the years (15 to be exact).
This summer, Emily and I have spent a lot of time together doing things, like taking pictures of each other, talking on skywalks and bridges at the lake, and making delicious smoothies and cute headbands.
The other night, after the carnival, we discussed matters of our future photography business. We decided only a few days ago that, because we both really love photography, we're going to start a business together. It makes both of us really excited. As we were sitting on the steps at the park, we came up with a lot of ridiculous names. Some of my favorite were "Pockets Photography," "Smiles Photography," and "Blind Photography." Awful!
In a matter of weeks, Emily will be going to India for the remainder of the summer. This makes me sad, because she is ultimately the only friend I hang out with during summer. I need to get out more and make new friends, and hang out with the ones I already have.
I think the biggest reason why Emily and are best friends, besides the fact that we have similar interests, is the fact that we can talk for, literally, hours. It's just easy for us to talk about anything, and I love it! One time, when we were about 14 or 15, Emily called me while she was babysitting, and we talked for 3 1/2 hours, I think it was. It was awesome!
Shout out to Emily, my home dawg from the hood. You are very thought-provoking, and I'm glad you are my best friend. Hollar!
